Lubricant
A water-based product designed
to clean easily and weld without wash,
OVS has provided the stamping industry
a cleaner choice to replace many soluble
oils needed for stainless steel and high
strength steel. Several exhaust component
manufacturers use this product on mufflers
and heat shields. This product will not
get sticky or tacky, which helps extend
tool life.

Tool Life
This manufacturer used
a dry film and spent excessive time on
tool repair due to heat retention and
dry film buildup in the dies which created
hours of downtime. Additional tool sections
were also needed to keep up with production
quotas. Engineering decided that for the
new model launch of this compressor housing,
they would try Metal Mates OVS Stamping
Lubricant. The Tooling Manager found that
the dies ran cooler and cleaner with better
dimensional integrity. Additionally, the
part was much easier to clean making it
more compatible with secondary processes.
